Subscribe to Coffee Break Barack Lobster!

I was going to post this in Coffee Break when I realized the implications for Bizniks with online businesses.

Biznik Joe Narciso and I dreamed up Barack Lobster a few weeks ago and now he's come to life.

-- 36 hrs ago I thought let's have a site to support the video.

-- I thought we'll gain extra exposure for our own websites.

-- I set up BarackLobster on Twitter.

-- Joe said, "Hey, why don't we sell shirts too?!"

And here's the punch line.

I called Barry Hurd. He put www.baracklobster.us together in under 24 hours. I spent 15 hours on copy.

The implication for you?

A professional-looking Web site can be yours in under a week. We have a storefront, a blog, comments, plug-ins, and embedded videos. We're adding a section where you can download the art.

Have an online dream? Go make it happen today!

P.S. Follow the Barack Lobster campaign on Twitter and share it with your friends. This one's gonna go viral.

    Our first promotion:

We will make Barack Lobster campaign buttons featuring the winning slogan among all online submissions.

The winning author will receive five free campaign buttons and bragging rights.

Contest ends on my birthday (Oct 14) at midnight PST. Multiple entries allowed. Must be posted in the comments section of this blog post.

The one to beat right now is: Barack Lobster. It's what's for dinner.

    Good luck!

3:20 left in the campaign slogan promotion.

So far it's Nancy Hanauer's to lose:

"The only crustacean to lead the nation."

    Did I miss something?

What does Obama have to do with a lobster? Must be an inside joke?

    Judy,

Barack Lobster is a parody of the B-52's song "Rock Lobster." No hidden meaning.

Just Obama to a funky beat.

    Thanks, John.

More important than the video is what I've learned in the last week about viral marketing.

Here's the article if you're interested.

    Joe,

Setting aside the B-52s song, which I didn't recognize, there are implications for us all here.

We just met with a client this morning who would be perfect for a You Tube video. Thanks for sharing your experiences in viral marketing. I have a friend in the UK who has been hired to promote an author's book, kind of a Bridget Jones's diary sort of thing, so this information is useful.

Thanks for being generous with what's working, Joe.

LOL! I w[This comment has been edited by the future government of the United States of America. All of you are guilty of assisting and encouraging crime against the future government of the United States. -- Move along, there is nothing to see here.]mmmm, yummy!

Isn't it wonderful that we live in a country where we talk against and make fun of our government? Poor China, always /d/e/r/o/s/n/e/c/ by their government.
