Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion How to stream video?

I'm sure there's a Biznik out there who can advise the rest of us on this.

I have a DVD and I want to take a portion of it and convert it into streaming video so I can post it on my web site?

How to do? Do I have to invest in software?

Joe, You need to extract the video/audio from the DVD. I am not the expert on this, but I do know that it's not a simple thing. In fact, I had to recreate raw footage as Quicktime to accomplish what you are trying to do, but look at DVD Studio Pro, part of the Final Cut Studio (pricey, but for serious video production, it's one of the best). You might also look at Toast. or search "DVD to video Extraction" in a search engine.

Hope this helps and let me know what you find out.
